Danna Voegeli Appointed Director of Student Recruitment for APDesign at Kansas State University
The College of Architecture, Planning & Design (APDesign) at Kansas State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Danna Voegeli as Director of Student Recruitment, effective July 20, 2025.
A long-standing and valued member of the APDesign community, Voegeli brings more than a decade of experience in student recruitment, having served the college in various capacities for the past 11 years. Her deep institutional knowledge, commitment to student success, and passion for design education uniquely position her to lead recruitment efforts into a bold new era.
“Danna has been an integral part of APDesign’s recruitment and professional development efforts for many years,” said Michael McClure, Professor and Dean of APDesign. “Her appointment ensures strong continuity in our recruitment strategy while also advancing new ideas to connect with future design and planning professionals. Her insight, creativity, and commitment to the student experience will serve the college well.”
In addition to her recruitment leadership, Voegeli previously coordinated APDPro, APDesign’s professional development program that prepares students for success in the academic and professional worlds. Her ability to guide students on pathways from education to career is informed by her broad understanding of the design and planning disciplines and the evolving demands of the industries they serve.
Demonstrating a continued commitment to personal and professional growth, Voegeli recently completed the Design Your Life curriculum through Stanford University’s renowned D-school, further enriching her approach to student engagement, retention, and long-term success.
Before joining Kansas State University, Voegeli built a strong foundation in strategic communications through her roles as Marketing Coordinator at Results Driven Marketing in Wichita and Email Marketing Manager at MMGY Global in Kansas City. She is a proud K-State alumna, holding a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations and Electronic Journalism.
“I’m honored to step into this role and help shape the next generation of designers and planners who will transform our communities and built environments,” said Voegeli. I'm thankful for the meaningful connections I’ve cultivated with our alumni, faculty, staff, and students as APDPro Coordinator, and I’m excited to build upon those relationships as I engage with prospective students and their families.”
Voegeli’s leadership is expected to build upon APDesign’s legacy of excellence and accessibility, ensuring a diverse and dynamic student body that is well-prepared for the future of the design professions.
